Business Membership Application

If you are a local business owner and would like to join the PLENTY organization, please submit the form below. While anyone can accept PLENTYs in commerce, PLENTY members enjoy unique benefits:

• Ability to vote at membership meetings, and eligible to serve on Board of Trustees
• Listing in the PLENTY On-Line Directory
• “PLENTY Accepted Here” storefront decal
• Cross-marketing opportunities through PLENTY email newsletters, web site and local events

The information you provide will be added to the PLENTY On-Line Directory unless you request otherwise.

For contact purposes, it is very important that each business provide a mailing address, an e-mail address, and a phone number so that we can provide you with materials such as window stickers and other promotional/educational materials and updates. However, this information does not have to appear on your directory listing unless you wish. To request something not be put on-line, simply enter the information followed by: [offline only] or another such marker.

In completing this form, please enter fields exactly as you want them to appear in your business listing on our directory page.

By submitting this application and annual membership fee, you are accepting the membership guidelines below:

1. I agree to accept PLENTYs for full or partial payment of goods and services.  I am responsible for setting specific PLENTY acceptance policies and can change them at my own discretion.

2. I will inform the PLENTY organization of changes in contact information or business products and services.

3.  I will pay a $50 annual membership fee to remain a member in good standing and receive member benefits.

4. I will promote the use of the PLENTY to my customers and employees.

5. My business engages in only lawful and reputable products and services.

6. I am the owner of the business and reside within the geographic focus area (Chatham, Orange, Durham, Wake, Lee and Alamance Counties) of the PLENTY.

7.  The PLENTY organization has the right to revoke membership at any time for violation of membership guidelines.

8. I understand it is my responsibility to monitor my business’ use of the PLENTY and to ensure proper bookkeeping systems are in place and appropriate taxes are paid.

9. I have a responsibility to participate in the democratic processes of the Cooperative.
