It might seem counterintuitive, but it requires seed capital to launch a community currency. While we have an all-volunteer Board that has donated countless hours since last fall, we have hired a part-time Executive Director and the talented folks at Barefoot Press in Raleigh need to earn a fair profit for printing our striking notes.
Over time, we expect the PLENTY’s lean organization to be self-sustaining through membership fees paid in PLENTYs or dollars. We are bootstrapping the relaunch, however, through charitable donations to our nonprofit sponsor The Abundance Foundation.
Would you like to participate in the PLENTY’s success? Please consider a tax-deductible donation to The Abundance Foundation today.

Unfortunately the semester is coming to an end, but come August perhaps a new North Carolina YAL project could be fundraisers for the PLENTY, whether it be carwashes, door to door activism, or anything else.
